Common questions

Before you write.

Who employs the engineers who work on our systems?

We do. SummitWellspring Partners LLC recruits, hires, and employs every engineer we place. Payroll, benefits, tax withholding, performance management, and employment compliance stay with us. Your leads direct the day-to-day work.

How quickly can engineers start?

For common stacks, two to four weeks from an approved role brief to an engineer onboarded on your tooling is typical. Specialised or heavily regulated roles take longer, and we will say so at the brief stage rather than promise a date we cannot hold.

What if a placement is not working out?

Raise it with your named partner lead. We investigate immediately, and if the issue is fit or capability we replace the engineer at our cost. Our agreements set out the replacement process in writing so there is nothing to negotiate when it matters.

Do you work on fixed-price projects as well as staffing?

Yes. Project-based engagements run on defined scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria with a written change process. We will tell you candidly when a scope is too uncertain for fixed pricing to be fair to either side.

How do you handle security, confidentiality, and IP?

Confidentiality and IP assignment are covered in both our client agreement and our employment agreements, so work product belongs to you. Background checks, access scoping, device policy, and data-handling rules are matched to your internal requirements before anyone starts.

Which industries do you serve?

We partner with companies across multiple industries — financial services, healthcare, logistics, retail, manufacturing, and technology among them. Domain constraints are written into the recruiting brief. See Industries for detail.

Can you support teams outside the United States?

Our contracting and employment are handled in the United States. We regularly support partners whose teams span multiple time zones; tell us where your engineering leadership sits and we will be straightforward about the overlap we can commit to.
